About Me
I was born and raised in Toronto. My first language is Portuguese and I attended Portuguese school from grade two to eleven where I learned to read, write, and speak fluently in Portuguese. Growing up my summers were spent in Portugal with my grandparents, this is what I looked forward to every year.

I attended Saint Paul VI Catholic School, formerly known as Blessed Pope Paul VI. For high school I attended Loretto College Catholic Secondary School.

In 2012, I began the Early Childhood Education diploma program and graduated in 2014. Over the span of these two years I completed four, seven week placements at: Centro Clinton Daycare, Rawlinson Child Care Centre, Harbourfront Child Care Centre, and University of Toronto Child Care Centre (OISE). During these placements I worked with toddlers, preschoolers, kindergartens, and school agers.

For the next two years I worked as a supply RECE at Centro Clinton Daycare and Macaulay Child Development Centre. During these two years I held a contract position at Macaulay Child Development Centre in a before and after school kindergarten room.

In 2016, I bridged over into the Early Childhood Leadership Honours Degree Program at George Brown College. During this program I completed a fourteen week internship at an Ontario Early Years Drop in Centre - College Montrose Children's Place. During this internship I had the opportunity to interact with children, their families, the community, and I also got the chance to work in an administrative role.

Presently, this year, 2018, I began my journey as a Teacher Candidate at York University, more specifically at the Catholic Education Centre, in the Bachelor of Education Program. I am currently completing a community and school placement.
